Disarray and Disruption - A Scattered Formation of Trees

Initially shot because of the choice of composition, how the trees are framed by the branches from above, it turned out daylight was pouring through into the woodland, into the scene, from the side, casting a soft light, illuminating the scattering of trees in the background and the overgrowth of the forest floor in the foreground.

The woodland depicted is on my very own doorstep, based in a residential area, many people claim it was a lovely area to sit, relax, eat their lunch, yet in recent years, without much ongoing management, it has become a chaotic piece of land; trees are scattered, household waste on the floor and overgrown plants and hardy shrubs indicate a lack of care or consideration from local authorities.
